Saying that women cling to “anti-scientific” ideas in order to gain an upper hand in a sexist culture feels pretty sexist in and of itself. There are people on the “anti-vaccine” side who are only interested in “pro-science” arguments for understanding the dangers of vaccination. Saying they’re “anti-science” feels a bit like shaming to me. I have colleagues on both sides of the aisle and to both extremes. I find it interesting to read all the arguments. Your article, like others I’ve read, tries to approach the situation from an open-minded position, but the built-in bias is not likely to win any of the “anti-science” women over.
